St. John's Children's Hospital and Gordon Productions, in association with Over the Moon Productions, was proud to present A CHRISTMAS CAROL -1940'S RADIO PLAY. The show was presented at the Hoogland Center for the Arts (LRS - Theatre 1) on Friday, December 21 at 8 p.m., Saturday, December 22 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, December 23 at 2 p.m.

Taking a cue from the classic drama of radio's golden age, A Christmas Carol was presented live on stage, as if it were an actual 1940's radio show. The actors were dressed in 1940's era costumes, reading from scripts in front of period microphones, while sound men provided all of the appropriate sound effects. The show will transport the audience back in time to an era when radio greats like Orson Welles and Lionel Barrymore entertained studio audiences and home listeners alike with this classic tale of redemption.

Local favorite Don Schneider starred as Ebenenzer Scrooge and headed a large cast of popular performers including Leigh Steiner, Dennis Rendleman, Ken Bradbury, Pat Foster, Eric and Missy Thibodeaux-Thompson, Brett Rutherford, Gus, Claire and Amy Gordon, Linda Schneider, Ann Collins, Paul Presney Jr., Michael Presney, Karl Bockemeier, Kayla Primm, Chris McDonald, Aasne Vigesaa, Jake Rogers and Cory Ganner.
